well at least he was honest. if his boss alleva was impressed by that answer, then we have some bigger issues than Miles.

Only problem is this, if trindon was running so well why didnt we sustain a drive?
and if there werent enough snaps to get him in does that clue you in as to what we might do different to get more snaps?

    gee wally that makes sense!

gosh beav I wonder why they didnt think of it? :insane:

I think the guy who posted this was because TD.com was locked down at the time of this post...

You're right, I'm just real upset right now and should only lurk for a while. Texsport is probably just venting like I was. I'll be a more thoughtful poster later.

So our offense was lifeless and inept all day. Why would you leave your most explosive player on the bench? Wouldn't you want to try everything you could to create some kind of spark? Nope. Keep running Ridley for no gain and throwing passes for TT to drop. I'm not saying Shepard would have made any difference at all, but at least give the kid a few plays and see where it goes. It's one thing if what there doing is working so well that there was no reason to changes things up. However, that was clearly not the case.

This makes perfect sense. Trindon's 10 yards on 4 carries was keeping PSU on their heels all day.

My only thoughts were: one of Shepards strengths is his ability to make quick cuts to elude defenders. That was pretty much taken away with the horrendous field conditions. Even Trindon was unable to do that with his smaller size.

It makes exactly as much sense as any other answer CLM has given in any of his press conferences when asked about his game management decisions, no?

I'd love for him to have said that RS just looked so handsome and dapper in his clean white #10 jersey that he couldn't bear the thought of sending him into that pig sty to get it filthy for no good reason. I'd have at least been able to laugh at that.

the senselessness of these coaching decisions seems to be paramount on everyones minds except the ones making the decisions. deja ju all over again! we lose close games while not playing possibly one of the biggest playmakers in college football? doesn't make sense to me...

Yet he had a 69-yd TD this year running through a crease up the middle. Could he have done something similar against Penn State? We'll never know now, will we?
