Dismissing the inexcusable condition of the Capital One Bowl playing field, which turned the game into a 1930s Big Ten style battle for which LSU was ill suited-----where was Russell Shepard? Did he play? Did he dress out for the game? Is he transferring? What's up with this? Texsport
I never even saw him on the sidelines. I have no answer. But if he is not hurt, we may have a problem.
Why does everyone think that one player could have made a difference? Even with Shepard we still would have had the inept offensive line. Until that is fixed do not expect much from our offense.
You may be 100% correct. But that is not the point. He is probably in the top 5 on the team in talent. We burn his redshirt, use him very little, and none at all in the last game of the season. What are they waiting for? It makes no sense. It is like Miles is just being stubborn with his seniors first mentality. I wish someone could give me one good reason why this makes any sense.
True enough. The same could be said for Randle. By the way, why is this thread in the recruiting section?
Patience, people. I don't understand why he did not play any more today either, but, geez, I am not a coach and do not know what goes into those decisions. What I do know is that he is a Freshman, and has 3 more years. I never heard of Percy Harvin until he was a Junior.
Because the intended audience is here ...the recruits themselves. Obviously the OP is a person who is not talking to us, but past us. He wants to cast a negative light on our recruiting class by implying that no one will get playing time at LSU so they better go elsewhere. The OP is either a troll (99% possibility ) or is a deranged LSU fan that wants to ruin a recruits thoughts about committing here to say "I told you so (1%). Either way, this poster is an idiot !!
possibly or have you considered he may just be lost or new? jus sayin, everything isnt a conspiracy. I have the answer why Shep didnt play. Our OC doesnt have him in the first few downs, and we seldom got on the field as an offense for more than a few plays. hence no shep. No sustained drives = no offense = no plan to play shep. We really had nothing for Pen State other than talent, and talent will cover a multitude of bad coaching but eventually you have to have a total package. We still almost won playing sand lot football Gary C style. and no O line.... question? how many diff formations and "looks" did we give the defense on first down? vare to guess? did we mix it up any???
CLM's explanation is because Trindon was doing well in the backfield and there weren't enough snaps to get both him and RS in the game. Per his press conference explanatin when asked (cliff notes version).
