I don't know RS, and never claimed to know him. I have observed the potential the young man displays when he is on the field. These kids want to be on the field for every play. He was promised during recruiting that he would see the field. The young man was averaging approximately 7 yd/carry in limited action this season. He was a spark when he was on the field. He could have gotten his uni dirty today, and it would have gone a long way to fostering his confidence. As for our coaching staff, I have zero confidence in these people putting the players on the field that give us the best chance to win. Les Miles is an insult to the profession. He has proven game after game that he has no concept of game or clock management. If he can't grasp the simple things in football, how can he lead the LSU football organization? Yes, I'm a naysayer. Have been since his hire was announced. You can search the archives. I don't like him now, and didn't like him when he was hired. The kids we are signing are kids that want to play for LSU, not for a moronic coach. I'm a lifelong Tiger fan. I just happen to demise the state that our beloved football program is in. And it won't get any better until Michigan calls, or he finally tanks the program. Only one of those is an acceptable solution, unless you are into mediocrity.
It is definitely a shame for this kid to be put through this. He is a real talent on a bottom-end offensive team with no imagination.
Well, I respect your stance and opinion. I, too, have been a little up and down with believing in CLM. Now, after the changes on defense from last year, I firmly believe our offensive woes reside in someone named CGC. I think if CLM surrounds himself with top notch coordinators on both sides of the ball, the team will excel under his overall guidance. I do think he takes too long to make changes that are clearly needed. This may be his the biggest fault that eventually leads to his demise, but I hope that the ship gets righted and that parting ways with CLM is not needed.
