Nope, our coaching staff is moronic because locoguano says so. So what if they are indeed playing multiple freshmen on both sides of the ball? It doesn't fit his predetermined narrative.
Ford is having some issues with the blocking assignments, mental game. Blue brings something different to the table when paired up with Ridley unlike Ford. If Ford needs more time and something happens to Ridley, I would see Ware getting more carries to replace what Ridley brings to the table. We may even see more of Ware at FB.
If Ridley went down, Blue would get the majority of the snaps and one of the others would play relief...Prolly Ware, who is getting experience. So what da problem? Other then the fact the boy you want to see is not playing that is. There are only so many plays in a game, you can't get EVERYONE in. Look at it as a Williams / Scott scenario, the better back is playing.
When asked about Ford, Miles is saying, "the kid is 5th on the depth chart," in a diplimatic way. I understand that Ford looked good in the Spring Game, but he got passed on the depth chart by Ware and Blue.
So is Blue, he whiffs a couple every game. The learning curve is steep. It's like that with green backs. I suspect Ford is in the doghouse for undisclosed reasons.
Because Miles doesn't shame his players in press conferences (Spurrier), and glosses over the reasons they don't see the field, it becomes a conspiracy by Miles. The long standing narrative that Miles always favors the senior player and doesn't play the most talented doesn't fit so well anymore, but won't be acknowledged either. Which is why you see 2 true freshmen RBs in front of a redshirt. Or freshmen Dbs, or WRs....and on, and on, and on.
Well I have seen him miss a few blocks, but I have not seen him blow an assignment. And if a guy blows his assignment, that is a no-brainer who plays.
