This is a pretty good article, for the record, i totally support this coaching staff, and i think that we are on the right track, and will be where we want to be after the UGA game. Issy i think you would probably agree with the author, he goes into why Miles has loyalty to his seniors, and gets into recruiting or lack there of. Where Does Les MilesStand? - And The Valley Shook
Damn, did I write this article while I was sleeping maybe? Those are my words. And the poster he is referring to might as well be me. Here is my favorite statement and it sums it up as succinctly as possible: "Nothing is irretrievable yet, but things must be retrieved." I will go on record as saying Russell Shepard must be in on 15 plays Saturday in order for the LSU Tigers to win that game.
By far the most objective, informative, and realistic article I've read anywhere on the coaching aspects and recruiting of Les Miles. Although I don't understand Miles and the ways he goes about his business, I can't complain on the success he's had. Hopefully, Miles knows exactly what he's doing and will prove the "mad-hatter" will continue to win.
Great article and spot on. Very objective. I was disappointed years ago when we didnt go after Bryant, he was all LSU if we wanted him.
the in-state guys are what bothers me the most. There is no reason we should not be keeping the best in this state here.
I totally agree. The fence that DiNardo started and Saban finished is what made LSU a good program again. Louisiana is a hot bed of talent, Id much rather have an instate kid. I too didnt like not going after Sentimore or Lacy. I know some say there were character issues, which if there are serious issues I dont mind holding off. But both kids were really trying to turn things around, had LSU stuck by their sides they would be here rather than Bama.
did you know that Louisiana has the most players in the NFL than any other state per capita? http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2009/09/from_practices_to_meetings_to.html
