I guess that hit home, didn't it? Which is it, tap? You G-damn straight I'm quoting Coach Stallings. The man has more integrity in his fingernail clippings than you've shown with the bullshit you've posted over the years.
90% of the posters on TD are 18 and under "Virgin Geeks" without girlfriends, that still live at home with mommy & daddy and who have never played a second of any organized sports at any level. You have to wade through a lot of murky water off the beach before reaching any clear water farther out. In other words you have to go through a tremendous amount of juvenile BS, to find anything of substance. It could all be much better, but the owner of the site is only concerned about the $$$$ produced by each click of the mouse................
You can find sites like that with a lot of schools. Until the Tuscaloosa News decided they'd join the Rivals network, Tidesports message forums were the same. (I've seen more than a handful here quoting/referring to things said there as if it were gospel.) AL.com's message forums fall into that category today. Any article ends up being a handful of fans from different schools just throwing bullshit out there and seeing what sticks.
I agree that it's hard to be heard in the middle of a food fight. TD and SEC Rant are so full of personal insults you forget the topic. It can't just be about wins and losses driving that much stuff.
It was Stallings call. It was a 7-year reign, averaged 10 wins a season and the best win in my Crimson Tide history, against Miami.
Can if you want. Landham's mistake. Alabama was basically peeing in the NCAA's cereal through the process. More the attitude than the crime. Beyond that, It felt like Stallings was getting some encouragement to open the offense up but I'm no insider. We were losing to Steve Spurrier's fun and gun in some close SECCG and maybe that changed the dynamics for him. But I never felt he was asked to leave.
