Where did this sudden groundswell of support come from?

Screw public perception. What happened is that they could not get Jimbo Fisher, their one and only alternative. When the utter incompetence of the movers and shakers (and I use that word in the broadest possible context) started coming to light, all but the stout hearted folded like cheap deck chairs. There is no noble or positive spin.

Tuberville pulled this same dog and pony show at Auburn when he was going to be fired. Paraded his family and pretended to be this wonderful guy that was giving his all and was being mistreated by the bad old administration and boosters while hauling in the cash. Well we all know how that turned out and after one more miserable season the whole school turned out to pack his bags.

The public had been torn, a lot of fans supported Miles. Many felt he should be given one more year. Plus last night was expected to be his final game, so fans supported him by showing him the respect he earned. Thanking him. The problem is Alleva did not prepare for the what if Jimbo says no, which happened by him raising the ante more than was expected.

Auburn's going to rebound as soon as Malzahn installs a QB that can run his offense. Arkansas is getting better under that prick Beilema. A&M is about tired of Sumlin and they'll hire Herman and kick our asses for years while becoming the new Bama/tOSU. But yeah Miss St is going to suck with Prescott.

For reasons, unknown there is a whole Legion of Mediocrity Accepters out there that absolutely embrace and revel in the Suck. They're non-competitive and non-athletic individuals that have latched on to this program and will defend it no matter how bad things gets. They worship and idolize any and all LSU coach, athlete or administrator......................

Apparently 4 straight games of scoring less than 20 points while giving up an average of 28 is good enough.

    Last 4 games.

LSU scores 61 points, Opponents score 106.

Everything is fine here. Nothing to see.
