4 rent a wins kind of ensures that dumb fuck, all he has to do is win 2-3 SEC games a yr to ensure that.

In Alleva's defense, the big money only wanted a proven head coach from a major conference and didn't realize how expensive that would be. Dumbasses.

    To the original question...

It's simple: Once Jimbo definitively said he was staying at FSU there was no plan B.

I am not thrilled about next season with this coaching staff and QB, but I dont see how we get worse. I agree, Bama, Arky and Ole Miss are designed to stop us, but thats about it. Bama and Ole Miss are losing a lot of players and Ill take LSU's situation over that of Auburn, Arkansas A&M and Miss State right now. Just sayin

I meant more along the lines of public perception. Two weeks ago Les leaving was a foregone conclusion. Then in the last few days all this public support for Good Guy Les apparently comes pouring in, and made itself very clear last night. Something changed drastically in the fanbase mood in that time. It's like an election where all the polling shows the incumbent losing by 10 points. Sitting in the stands watching this unfold was like watching election returns come in where the incumbent finishes with a 6-point lead, and all the pollsters are left scratching their balls wondering WTF happened.

What is lost on me, is this is not Mother Teresa, the guy is pulling down $4+ million, to win, and not against the league of weak sisters that we struggles, sometimes to beat. Like we used to say in the Pentagon, "Money talks, Bullshit walks." In this case, though, bullshit walked all over the money. Feel sorry for a guy making $25K a year and gets laid off. Guys making $4Million need to earn it. Les has not.
