I was talking with a college coach a few weeks ago, he said that he thought Mike was doing something in the oil business. He keeps up with many of the older players.
My foggy memory, which was only based on rumors, is that he had two women in his life (possibly with his first one being the mother of his child that he had a long term relationship with). The "new" woman had pictures of them together and was threatening to confront his long term girlfriend. Foster panicked, took the purse with the pictures, and then went into a bathroom to flush them down the toilet. The ex pressed charges later. Again, not sure if I'm getting the story completely correct.
Yea he was at Thibodeaux High before he came to Terrebonne and coached with us for two seasons. He was very intense guy especially in the weight room. I think I remember him saying he was related to the Hilliards...
He is. Also has a nephew, Terance Callais, who played for Patterson and LaTech. I believe he's in the Arena Football League now.
When Callais was a Terrebonne they had one of the best defenses in the district. Kind of like LSU over the last few seasons, they needed a offensive coordinator because the one they had at the time was a complete tool. Alot of talent went to waste because of his lack of inginuity. There were a few guys on Terrebonne's squad that year that could have went to the next level if it weren't for him.
Oh, here's a fun fact... After playing at LSU, Callais has coached at three high schools. All of which had tigers as their mascots. Thibodaux Terrebonne St Mary
Oh, and Terrebonne's awful offensive coordinator later went on to coach the girls volleyball team. LOL!
