All I have been reading is that LSU needs LB's and OL's. They are gettting the LB's, but where are the OL's? They have two right now, but I've read in a couple places that Matt Allen is far from solid. Anyone heard any rumors about some of the big men committing?

Allen is sold, OL are scarce this year and many teams are short on them...we are in on a lot of prospects, it is July if you haven't noticed :) Let them play their senior year and the OL picture will clear up.

I hope you're right, Philter, because like locoguano, I was expecting a few more commitments from O-linemen. ....then again, I wasn't expecting 12 commitments by July! :thumb: Seven of which are 4-star or higher!

Rivals only has the 4* and 5* recruits ranked...I'm assuming 3* and below will be coming out shortly, no?

I expect Cate (impressive pickup by Miles, IMO--great to have a top 250 recruit sign, giving us 4 scholly QB's), Allen and McCray to all be 3-stars and perhaps Boudreaux, being a JUCO player, to be listed as a 4-star or higher once JUCO rankings come out.

Given our needs on the OL, if we can land AT LEAST one 4-star OL recruit in addition to the ones we already have, plus add another 3-star lineman, I'll be really content and pleased.

OMG! That guy's a MAN CHILD!!!! Yeah, I'd love to land him!

The only thing that worries me is that, being from Alabama, usually every kid grows up either being a diehard 'Bama fan or an Auburn fan. :dis:

And outside of JaMarcus, I can't recall the last big-time recruit that we landed from Alabama....

i heard smoke had a talk with les and they both agreed they need to go the small ball route, hence the lack of big men. Miles plans on going sub 200 0-line d-line across the board come next year. should be fun.

credit smoke for once. great idea by him.
