Bama cheated to get in and we crapped the bed to let them win it.

Of course, this would come up. But, the difference is, at least with the NFL, you have teams that all play the same number of games, and in that play off, and you have division champions who get in, wild-cards that have to play first round games. I don't get annoyed that Bama won tonight as much as I am annoyed that we already beat them at home and it means very little. Then, we beat UGA, and it means (seemingly) very little. In fact our SOS is far beyond theirs, and it means very little. Bama, based upon the media's respect of Saban, hangs around, and hangs around and gets itself in there having played a weaker schedule and one less game. And as we know, all kinds of things can happen in one game, with 40 days to prepare.

In at least Danielson's top 6 team model, Bama would have had to play a West Virginia or Stanford before having to play LSU who after resting a game could get amped up for Bama, who may have been upset themselves. That would have been at least more "fair".

+10 Being ranked number 2 and getting in an essence a bye week while LSU gets to prepare for another game was knocking the F'ed up factor by 10. We can all say LSU played bad and they did this night, but in the end LSU doesn't get a rematch but Alabama did. So much for fairness. Course debts will be settled Nov.3rd.

None of y'all would be saying this had it been the other way around. Fact is we got our butts handed to us. They were #2 and they beat us. There is no rule that you have to be a conference champion, all you have to be is the second best team in the country to be eligible.

It's that attitude that we shouldn't have to play Bama that cost us the game tonight. Our team wasn't focused and Bama's team was extremely focused. We listened to the writers that said we could still claim a share if we lost. I'm disappointed in the effort in the preparation. I saw many signs of lack of focus and it all came clear tonight.

I don't have a problem with this per se, but I avoided being around much this last month so as not to constantly beat the same drum about the numbers and our very own history not favoring a rematch in this situation. If you look at the total body of work, imo, we still had the better season than Bama even with this loss. But that and 50c will get you a cup of ****ty coffee. Tough way to end the year. Poor game plan (same game plan), the O not bothering to show up for the game, and Lee being left on the sidelines. Maybe Lee is ineffective, but when everything is on the line and these two QBs have spelled each other for the last 4 years, then why not?

Miles just coached his worse game at LSU. Worse than the clocking game, imo.

I like how you put this. Obviously I'm going to agree since I am a Bama fan, but this is really true regardless of who you pull for.
Even if Bama had won Nov 5th and the roles were reversed, and we got beat 21-0 tonight? I would be okay with it. We did well and the two best teams played, even if one won their conference and the other didn't.

Of course, I can understand how some LSU fans don't like the rematch. I don't agree but I respect their opinions.

Not to take anything away from your stellar defensive effort, but simply put, we ****ing choked tonight on offense and in coaching. Epic disaster. You guys played with house money tonight. I'd be grinning ear-to-ear if I were a Bama fan, and since both of my brothers actually went and graduated from Bama, I am sure they are. I'll hear all about it tomorrow. :(

LSU and Bama were the 2 best teams so we played again. Bama overall was much better prepared than us and they proved it, end of story. Getting beat down while it sucks with all the young guys we have coming back we'll be a better team for the arse whipping.

While I've been aboard the BCS sucks train for a long time, given the current system I was fine playing Bama again. Any team who feels they should have made it can shut up because the college administrators all signed on to the BCS debacle. Get a playoff or accept your fate.

Their season now well surpases ours because we ended with one of the biggest offensive flops in college football history, protracted over the course of the game with no effort from our coaches to make a change. With a QB who thinks he played well and a coach who thought that QB just gave us a better chance to win, even after the game.

Credit to Bama, the only team to put the clamps on LSU this season. They have a very good D (as do we). But you have to say Les gave this game away without even trying Lee (even to give JJ a chance to collect his thoughts and see things from the sideline for a bit).
