I like Tenuta best, from what I've read on paper. But I haven't seen a picture of the guy, so the question remains, what's his Hotness Quotient?

Seriously, if it is Tenuta, is there any reason to delay the announcement? I'm curious as hell to know who the next DC is. I'd kind of like to see a blitz or two next season.

At the same time, recruiting is in a dead period starting in about an hour, and continues until Jan 8th I believe. So not sure if we need to hurry.

I really think we are doing Pelini a courtesy of holding out until then to announce. I think we will know before then but not let the news out.

Tenuta is the interim GT HC for its bowl game. Other than making LSU fans happy, there is no hurry to make an announcement. He, or whomever it is, couldn't coach for LSU in the NCG anyway since we kept Pelini around.

I expect the announcement to come within a week after winning the NC.

I think this sounds about right. Just in time to let potential recruits know where we stand and to go after them hard once the dead period is over.

With Paul Johnson going to Georgia Tech I believe Tenuta is a lock. (No source, so do not ask) but with LSU showing interest and since we have a DC for the title game and Jon is the HC for the bowl game it's lookin purty good. Maybe a few of his players will come with him? ;)

It seems to me we should be able to have our pick of just about whoever we want at DC. If I were a DC anywhere and had the opportunity to coach the young talent we have on this team I would jump at it. It seems this would be a dream job.

For the next two years, OM has to pay him something like $500k a year. He could come to LSU for $10k a year to prove himself if he wanted. OM would only have to pay $490k a year if he worked for that.

Orgeron's players hated him. Couldn't wait till he got canned before they started badmouthing his philosophies in print.

I believe your info is incorrect. Do you have a link?
