Somebody more knowledgeable than I am can address this, but I think Georgia has very good receivers. By the same token, who will cover ours. But, you are correct. I believe the difference between LSU, Georgia, Alabama, and A&M is minimal and might very well come down to which team makes a mistake at a key point in the game. No team in the SEC has a great defense this year.
I don't agree that the UGA receivers are shit. Besides, even if (for the sake argument) they are, a good QB is going to take advantage of what we allowed on defense. If receivers are wide open, as they were too frequently vs UGA, they're going to make the catch and make the D pay.
Bama's offense is nowhere near Georgia's. They will not score 44 on us unless our offense goes three and out all day and they end up with a lopsided T.O.P. I don't see that happening. We may not score 41 against their D, but it will definitely be interesting to see if we can outscore them. What have you seen from the offense that makes you believe we don't have a chance?
I never said it was the offense, its all the defense. What makes you think we can stop anyone in the SEC? McCarron and Cooper will eat our lunch as of now Manziel and Davis will have a field day on this secondary? We cant generate pass rush and then we ask inexperience and talent deficient corners to cover for more than 5 seconds. Let alone them not knowing the coverages. Im not being negative, Im being realistic.
EXCEPT that we're not relying on defense to win our games anymore. Our offense will keep us in the games, like our defense used to. And as long as we're in the game, we'll have a chance to win. You can't just write it off as a L just because they are pretty good teams. We're a pretty good team, too.

that would be great if only the offense played the entire game. As bad as our offense has been in the past, they scored points. We are a pretty good team with a horrible defense. We all thought it was the big leads in games against Kent St, Auburn and TCU being the reason we gave up deep routes and touchdowns on those plays. But guess what we have major issues and Im not sold on us beating Texas A&M and Bama. We beat A&M last year because our offense did just enough and the defense created 5 turnovers. Thats isnt the case this year, the offense is light years better and the defense is light years worse, there is no balance.
