The issue is not whether or not CLM should make some coaching changes, but win. For this to happen he has to first sit down with each coach and have an evaluation. While there have been suggestions he should do this within the next week, I doubt if that is possible. I think following the bowl game would be a better time. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
I'd let it be known today that if things are not different and something is not done by the Bowl game, and our play is not significantly more impressive, that some of the staff can expect a pink slip on their desks the day following the bowl game. Then get to straight to work on making the changes.
I don't think he can get anyone right now unless it's from a team that their season is finished. Im sure he will wait til after the bowl game. Don't get me wrong, i won't be upset if the stooges get the boot this week.
I think you have to make the changes before the bowl game. Waiting just ends up looking like indecision. At the very least, you have to make it clear that the change will happen, like what Nebraska did with Pellini last year. I think the timing stinks and is somewhat unethical, but that is the landscape of college football today. GEAUX TIGERS
Yeah but Pelini was promoted to a higher position, and wanted to leave on a high note. We fire our guys before the bowl game, we either have no defensive coaches on the sidelines for the game or if they stay to coach the game, we run the risk of them not giving damn.
