become the dominant football program in the SEC west. If and win this does happen, it will not be during Miles' tenure. I'm very sorry to say this, but we are probably years away from another NC. The sooner we begin the renewal of our football program, the sooner we are likely to make a serious run at the NC. A recent statement from Aleva to the effect that the primary goal is to compete for the NC, but not to necessarily win it is very troubling. This is PC, new-age nonsense that places the primary emphasis upon competing, not winning. Any competitor, who has rationalized defeat before the game is played, doesn't have the right mentality that is so crucial to winning.

Based on what? An 80% winning record in the toughest division in college football? Two NC appearances in 8 years? Consistent top recruiting? Sending tons of players to the NFL? One 3-point loss and the crazies are ready to fire Les. Amazing.

I heard the same shit in 2008. Three years later we were right back in the championship game. All the folks ready to fire Miles instead of recognizing that Mettenberger simply had a bad day are just impossible to please. What top coach would come here if what Les has accomplished isn't good enough?

Relax. Stress will kill you young.

    And got embarrassed.

Miles finds a way to embarrass LSU at least once a year.

Every coach has his share even sainted Nicky has shat the bed remember UAB and ULM? Do you possibly remember we everyone was saying how Les outcoached Nick in the Nov 2011 game? Ask Richt, Spurrier et al after yesterday whether they were out coached?

50% of the coaches are out coached one way or another every Sat night. Our coach beats that % by the widest margin of any since he took the job in 2005.

The difference is that Miles does it more often and we don't lose in style. It's usually buffoonery.

You are speaking in absolutes. Things rarely work out in absolutes.

Doesn't he get an ounce of credit for the 13-0 season, beating all of those ranked teams and winning the SEC? I personally think Miles should get a Purple Heart for winning all of those games with two terrible QBs.

You know what is remembered about 13-0? 21-0.

    That is what people remember.
