Wait...what...ummm, been drinking? Anyway i guess I'll follow that with, Neither one of the qbs were worth a shit this season. Brandon harris would not have made much of a difference. There has been a shit storm around the Qb position most of les' tenure. Les is in charge and is the common denominator when it comes to poor offensive performances and lack of talent at the qb position. Are you blind to the fact that through multiple offensive coordinators the offense has looked the same minus with mettenberger? I realize there is a point where you do the best you can with what you have, but that shouldn't be the case at LSU in regards to one of the most important positions on the field, as frequently as it has.
[hijack] Curious, based on what I've seen you post over the years, I put you in the mid-40's...42-46 years old. Am I close? [/hijack]
As often stated, our offense’s problem is a QB problem. Why hasn't Miles recruited and trained a top QB? This is a list of QBs signed and OCs/QB hired to coach them in the Miles era. The QB position has frequently sucked, but it’s not like Miles has ignored the problem. He has signed highly rated QBs that were desired by other major teams, and hired solid (at the time of the hire) OCs to train them. Miles kept Crowton a year to long in hindsight. I think Krag's illness following Crowton's last year became a 3 year period of QB instability. As for the future, Drew Brees is pretty knowledgeable about the QB position and he’s high on Cam. The result of one year teaching a green high school recruit is not enough for me to say Drew doesn't know what he’s talking about. We will see. 10 years recruiting 2 - 5 star; 6 - 4 star; 5 - 3 star longest gap between a 4 or 5 star signing - 2years; 2009, and 2010. Zack Lee could have helped but left for pro baseball. 2005 R Perrilloux – 5 star Position Rank 2 – beat UTex, FlaSt, Miami 2006 - - No QBs but position appeared solid 2007 – Jarret Lee 4 star position rank 15- beat TTech, TAMU, TCU OK St; 2008 J Jefferson – 3 stars – position rank 18 – also offered by Bama, Fla, Tenn, Ole Miss 2009 R Sheppard – 5 Star – Position Rank 2 – also offered UTex, USC, TAMU 2009 Chris Garret – 3 Star Pos Rank 2010 Zack Lee – 3 star (left after signing for pro baseball) 2011Jerrard Randall– 4 star – i think we flipped him from his Oregon commitment 2011 Zack Mettenburger – 4 star 2011 Stephen Rivers – 3 star 2012 Jeremy liggens – 3 star 2013 Jennings and Rettig – two 4 stars from GA and CA 2014 Brandon Harris – 4 star recruited by Auburn, Ohio State, OCs Jimbo Fisher 2000 - 2006 Crowton from Oregon 2007 to 2010 Kragthorp – 2011 and 2012 Greg Studrawa – 2011 and 2012 Cam – 2013 and 2014
