Hoke's full pay for the 2013 season -- base salary, bonus money, apparel and media money -- sits at $4.154 million. Last season, per the same database, Hoke was ranked No. 12 on the list at $3.046 million. Hoke signed a 6-year contract with Michigan in 2011 with an average annual compensation of $3.25 million per year. The deal includes annual compensation increases of $100,000, and annual "stay bonuses" of $500,000 for each full year he completes on the job. The USA Today figure is somewhat misleading, to a degree, as the first three "stay bonuses" of $500,000 were originally held until the completion of Hoke's third year. So, in reality, he's making basically the same amount he did a year ago before postseason bonus money. According to Hoke’s contract, signed on March 28, 2011, he will be owed $2 million to buy out the remaining two years (2015, 2016) left on his contract. That figure would be thrown on top of an already large pile of cash. Hoke’s career earnings at Michigan currently stand at $11,402,000, including his $2.3 million salary for the ongoing 2014 season.
I agree with you on Sumlin it won't be much longer for him. As for Mullens, Florida is a big step up from MooU, better recruiting, better money.
Will Will be the new DC at LSU under HC Cam Cameron after Les takes Chavis with him to Michigan after Hoke gets the ax after the season?
Mich has too many problems, most are off the field. Some talk, Kirby Smart will take a HC job, an Will goes back as DC for nick. Then there is more talk of nick moving. Yep, last year he was gonna move, now that people know he will move, they just have to find what will get him moving again. Some talk, nick moves an Smart stays. Too many games to play, but a coaching changes board is getting close. Lets see a few more games. Gonna see the Rainbow's play Sat night, another coach that maybe on the hot seat.
The NCAA in responding to Alabama's textbook appeal called Alabama a "serial repeat violator" with an "abysmal infractions track record" and an "extensive recent history of infractions cases unmatched by any other member in the NCAA." Nick has always had happy feet and knows he can land a top job. I would not be surprised to see him leave Bama before the next major infraction.
Schiano to Michigan seems like the right fit. . He is a good coach with baggage and they're desperate
What would it take to bring back Jon Gruden to Raiders? September, 30, 2014 Sep 30 10:00 AM ET By Bill Williamson | ESPN.com The Oakland Raiders head coaching job comes up a lot. It's the eighth time it has been open since 2002, the year the Raiders traded Jon Gruden to Tampa Bay. And as usual, Gruden's name has surfaced to fill this vacancy. Allen Kee/ESPN ImageFormer Raiders coach Jon Gruden has worked as an NFL analyst at ESPN since 2009. Many in the Bay Area would like to see Gruden return. Gruden clearly would be the top choice of the franchise and the fan base. The Raiders haven’t been the same since he was traded to the Buccaneers. Gruden, who is a “Monday Night Football” analyst for ESPN, is still a mythical figure to the Raiders’ fan base.
