Not such a short wall though, eh? I wonder how Gator fans will react to what will essentially be a conservative type offense considering they've been exposed to the Meyer and Spurrier approach in their best years.
I've read he's keeping two from Boom's staff. Other than that, haven't heard a thing. I can't see his offensive approach changing from what he's been under throughout his career. Some interesting names including Art Shell, John L. Smith, and one guy I've always respected and considered under-rated in Pat Hill.
@LSUDad If I'm not mistaken, one of the things Foley asked of Mac was to retain Robinson who was their defensive backs coach last year. That's of interest because reports have discussions between Auburn and Boom resting on staffing issues. Logic says Robinson would be one of those staff members considering he's an Auburnite.
Florida's issues were primarily with the QB position. Those issues will continue until Treon develops. That said, I don't see much difference in the offense that Mac will run versus what Roper ran last season. It wasn't about the scheme, it was about the players execution.
On another note I believe the term "coaching tree" is way overused. If an assistant coach is groomed from a novice by someone then yes you could consider them to be part of that so called tree. But when an already experienced coach spends a couple of years under a coach I wouldn't think of them as having being " mentored.
