    Why are they not looking at David Shaw? I would think he meets the bill. An offensive minded coach and whose teams have had the best defense in the Pac 12. He could get much better talent at UF and no academic restrictions.

    Since he is a Stanford grad, he is probably good at math and finances. I am fairly certain he could make much more money at UF. But he also might be good at probability and statistics as well. He knows that a couple 7-5 seasons at UF would get him fired, whereas that probably will not even raise an eyebrow at Stanford.

    Word out is if and when he leaves Stanford, it will be for the Pro's. His Dad spent so many years in the Pro's and word is David would eventually take another job with a Pro team. He has a great resume, his Dad coached with the Saints back in the 90's. This has been his worst year at Stanford, but hes still a very good coach.
