Some seem to think he's the leader. I wouldn't say done deal. I would think if they made any kind of offer to Doc, he would take it. Remember they got Urban from Utah, after he came from Bowling Green. Trying to hit pay dirt again?
Probably right. I just wanted my prediction to be right so I could tell tirk "told ya so" Now I have to pick a different place to predict his landing cause he won't be in stoolie next year.
I know he is unhappy, maybe he could take the Marshall job? Ok J/K, they will have more jobs open and like I said, Doc might not be a done deal. I know Doc has friends there, an some calls could have been made before hand.
He is unhappy but it seems mostly with the Triad of Holder(the AD) and TBP (The checkbook) That little threesome just isnt' working out. Most of it stems because of the relationship between Holder and Travis Ford. They gave TF a ridiculous contract, WAY overpaid, then wanted to low ball Gundy and he didn't take it well at all. Gundy and Boone are now taking shots at each other in the media. Makes for really good sports radio. I think Mike really does want to coach at his AM, who wouldn't, but they have made it almost untenable for him. Once you piss off the guy with his name on the stadium I would have to say your days are numbered. Boone can find the change for his buyout in his couch cushions.
Gundy to Mich? Every year there are 20 or more openings in FBS schools for coaches, Gundy will have his shot. He's a good coach.
Bruh, if I knew where Boone lived I'd have no shame at all doing a lil dumpster diving. Probably more in there than I make in a month.
While they aren't in the same coaching tree, paths of several coaches have crossed with Gundy. One example is Holgorsen who comes from Hal Mumme/Mike Leach roots. Rich Rod doesn't cross paths with Mumme or Leach (outside of the point Leach got the TTU job that Rich Rod interviewed for...) but their style of offense is very similar. That brings me to this point. I can't see Michigan going from Rich Rod (who had personnel issues) to Hoke (a change in offensive philosophy, but again personnel issues) and then going back to a style like RR's with Gundy. "A ship without a rudder" isn't the right cliche, but "A ship with the rudder stuck" would seem to fit: they'd be literally, and figuratively, going in a circle. +1 for bringing up Holliday. I'd forgotten about his roots.
