Check on DiNardo. Nutt may have been on the way out at arky. Seems like Petrino was one, but Wikipedia doesnt show it. Maybe Dickey was before my time or not on my radar, name doesn't ring a bell. Fairly uncommon to directly pluck coaches, I'd guess it's viewed as undesirable.

I was at the C-USA Championship game last year and got to see Marshal play Rice, Rice ended up winning the game that sent them into the bowl game against MooU. Doc is a good coach. Word out: Marshall head coach Doc Holliday is very much a candidate for the head coaching vacancy at Florida. Holliday has served as head coach at Marshall for the past five seasons. From 2005-2007 he was on Urban Meyer’s staff at Florida serving as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. Holliday went on to join the staff at West Virginia where he served two years as associate head coach before being named head coach at Marshall following the 2009 season. Holliday won 10 games at Marshall last season and currently has his team 10-0. To add, some have it Mullen and Rich Rod are not in the running. Mike Shanahan is not interested in coaching college, an has made this clear. His name was brought up by some outsiders.
