Just as a FWIW, Bovada has odds on the next HC: Gundy 4/1; McElwain 9/2; Bob Stoops & Mullen 11/2; RichRod & Shanahan 7/1; Freeze & Spurrier 8/1 ——— How would you feel about Gundy in the SEC?
So you think there are no "tire men" in Florida? If that's the kind of program he runs at ole siss, he won't have any problems doing the same at Florida.
I had forgotten about Houston Nutt. And yes, I was thinking about Tuberville to Auburn. There's Curry to Kentucky as another. It's a damn good question and I suspect there's an article out there covering the subject. Personally, it's a question I'd have to think about for awhile.
@lsu-i-like Doug Dickey is another. Strange career as I recall...player at UF, coached at UT, then coached at UF, then ended up as AD at UT. Dinardo...Vandy to LSU, right?
Freeze is staying at ole piss, I could see mullen due to the ties to UF. If I were mullen I would jump at that chance, he isn't going much higher than he is at moo u right now. He has hit the ceiling over there IMHO. The Stoops thing I find interesting. Its almost like what is going on at the 49ers (well and like here). People are getting tired of his crap (personality conflicts that sort of stuff) and almost like there needs to be separation in the marriage for the sanity of both parties. Now for him to come to the SEC who he talks shit about with pretty high frequency, I find that interesting. Is he putting money where his mouth is? Or has he come to accept the fact that the SEC is the toughest conference.
About 10 years ago a friend of mine who is an OU alum told me that the reason Stoops would never leave is that as part of his deal he gets some Oklahoma oil leases that pay him a lot of money.
I can find out about this but I'm skeptical. Lots of oil leases here but they are usually family owned and I doubt they would juse give them to Bob. The Gaylords would be my #1 suspect because they have money that they don't even know about. Either way, I will eat my hat and post it on YouTube if BGB flies the coop.
