but as terryp pointed out, bad calls happen to both teams, as much as i hate to admit it is anyone here really going to say corey webster didn't interfere??? so terry, i'll agree that webster interferred, and you'll agree that pat pete intercepted....right???
I'll agree he caught the ball. I'll hypothesize that if it was ruled an interception, LSU still loses based on that whopping six (or was it nine) yards of offense in the fourth quarter. If he keeps to his normal schedule, I know where Wagers will be next Tuesday. They've got a cuke and tomato salad I've had a "hankering" for the last few weeks...perfect time to grab a pint or two and ask him about it again.
Again. I don't know what the call was. Neither do you. Without said knowledge, no one can say if it was right or wrong. In a way this is a lot like the INT between Williams and Reid a few years back. There was a faction of Bama fans that were claiming it should have been ruled a reception based on how the rule reads. You couldn't find me agreeing with them then, because I didn't know what the officials saw on the field. Anyone who's been around this site as long as I have can attest, even if it doesn't look favorably against Bama I'm not one to throw some preposterous theory out there as fact. There've been more than a handful I've cut short on some of their ramblings in their efforts to promote such. I never have liked the guy, but one line Barney Frank used in a townhall meeting pretty well sums up my feelings today. Trying to have a conversation with you is like arguing with a dining room table; I've no more interest in doing so.
Pretty sure you can look at this thread alone and think otherwise. At least we can agree on one thing here. Like my grandfather use to say "can't fix stupid".
Pass interference can't be replayed. Was it interference on Webster, probably so, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Peterson intercepted a pass clearly and it was called wrong, it was replayed and clearly it was called wrong again. Everyone knows it, except gumps, and why because Forrest was either their smartest Alum, or they are all just liars and the SEC is on the payroll.
