    According to the recent ESPN article about him, that's not true. JR has cut back on new spending, but he is far from broke.

    I love Dinardo's quote about Collins, when asked why he threw him off the team even before he was charged: "Is it true that most of the iceberg is below the surface." Collins was a trainwreck who we took a chance on and got burned. His three games in 07 were by far the most dominant by an LSU RB I've ever seen. He had the talent to be mentioned with Bo Jackson and Herschal Walker. Instead, he decided to be epically stupid. Biggest waste of talent ever.

    Faulk got there first, but they were there at the same time. Collins got a chance to play partially because Faulk was out for a few games with a bum ankle. They could have been the Thunder and Lightning combo of all time.
