The guy is ridiculous. He seems to make every game winning buzzer beater. He has 4 championships. The Lakers appear headed to repeat (although the Celtics will have a lot to say about that if they stay healthy). What say you?
Gee, it was in all the papers. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Alright, just trying to make a bad joke. Honestly, Kobe may be a better offensive player than MJ was, but I think MJ was a more complete player. The fact that Kobe came into the league at a much earlier age than MJ, and therefore had a longer maturation process, hurts him (Kobe) when you compare the two h2h, IMO. That's obviously unfair to Kobe, but I think that perception is out there, and people tend to forget about the age issue when its discussed.
I highly doubt it. He may or may not be better but it's all about public perception and no one will ever let a player in the current generation be better than Jordan. I still think he has to win a couple more championships...maybe 2 more and get the finals MVP in them to be up there with MJ. Shaq was the dominant force behind the Lakers 3-peat...no one could guard him and that changed how opposing teams played. Def made it a lot easier for Kobe to be Kobe.
Some truth to that, but remember Kobe still has at least 4-6 more productive years, provided he can escape the injury bug. I do believe that Kobe can be more charismatic than MJ at times, that could help him as he ages. MJ didn't start winning championships until Pippen came along. If you don't remember Scottie was on the 50 greatest NBA players group announced at the 50th anniversary of the Association. I don't think any of last year's Lakers would be anywhere near that group. Generally agreed, but remember - you are now seeing the real Kobe. During Shaq's LA reign, HE was the man. Now this team is all Kobe's.
