And until/unless the other conferences sign a TV deal anywhere close to what the SEC did, these lists are pointless and it becomes a "non-spending beauty contest" and it appears this year, that Tennessee took home the crown. It's a nice theory but it's nonsense. Folks will say that there's too much to do and you can surf/ski in the same day. In my entire life here, I've never once met anyone who did that. The more likely reality is that USC is a victim of bandwagon fans. If we do well, seats are filled. If not, it's really just alums and they are geographically spread out. I don't know too many people who will spend a weekend tailgating as it's tough to even devote an entire day. Going forward it's going to get worse. Haden has proposed a Coliseum renovation which will result in the loss of some 35,000 seats, the creation of VIP suites and club level areas. Costs for all season ticket holders will go up significantly and the small/medium donor will get squeezed out because PSL's will be required for just about everyone. Well, duh. I know where I am.
