ok, but but,.. 8 of 19 recruits decommitted,.. we signed just five this morning, four of them 3*,.. five 4* and a 3* are waiting, not signing early,.. and two have entered the transfer portal it's hard to be green

Yep, it sucks this had to happen this year, which was a really good year in the state. If we had been able to get everyone we wanted in Louisiana, and no one else, we’d be at #4 right now.
Well, signing day is not nearly as important as in years past. It's still important, but with the transfer portal and NIL, it's a totally new ballgame. You can grab some really good players in the transfer portal and we can still make a run at some of the talented uncommitted players too. Kiffin said it best when he said it's really not about recruiting anymore, but who is the highest bidder. I agree. Deion just signed the "best" player in the country and I promise he didn't go there just because of Deion. More than ever, it's all about paying a lot of money if you want one of the elite guys on your roster and then good luck keeping him on your roster!
