I think it might have to do with the fact that those 3 boys from Ark ran
from here to Europe on our defense, hitting the ocean didn't even slow them down. Also might have to do with the fact the offense is having to score
40 points to stay in the game, other than that I don't know of anything that is wrong.:geaux:

It seems like we blitzed alot more in previous years than we have so far this year. I'm not sure why he decided to change unless it was for personnel reasons.

Bo has been on the recieving end of it lately, due simply to the fact that LSU's defense was absolutely trampled on in the last couple of regular season games. I am of the mindset that his mind has been on Big Red since Osbourne arrived in mid season.

I wish him well at Nebraska, and thank him for his time here...which I would consider a success...looking at the entire body of work.:thumb:

I probably used the wrong word. I mean a tipoff, to telegraph a move, etc.

In my line of work, a telltale actually leaves a record of what just happened, and isn't predictive, so I definitely used the wrong word.

The deal with Pelini is that LSU fans are waiting for the resurrection of LSU's 2003 defense, which was absolutely dominant. No QB escaped getting smashed by them, and they blitzed almost every down. Opposing teams stopped trying to run against them in the first quarter. It just wasn't going to happen. The front four were especially mean: Marcus Spears, Chad Lavalais, Kyle Williams, and the late Marquise Hill. Corey Webster and Travis Daniels were both shut-down corners. Laron Landry was a freshman All-American safety. And the LBs just roamed around and crushed people.

With Pelini's D, something always seems to be missing. Year one: Played prevent D and let a bad Tennessee team come back from a 21-0 second-half deficit. Year two: Couldn't get many turnovers all year. McFadden rushed for 180. Year three: Let Andre Woodson stand flatfooted in the pocket all game and pick the D apart. Let McFadden explode for over 200 yards rushing.

Pelini is a good coach. His D's will always be solid. But we on the bayou want domination. We want the '85 Bears, the '00 Ravens, the '03 LSU Tigers! :LSU231:
