Sure its nothing but why is he not locked up yet?

Saw a report saying the Saints were interested in bringing Jimmy G back. Wonder if that has anything to do with it or not?

No idea, but its interesting that, listening to Zach Strief announce his retirement on Facebook just now, he said he's signed 5 contracts and 2 extensions in his 12 years, and never once did Loomis ever mislead him during negotiations. I know, probably meaningless to your question.

Actually no, it tells me that at least we can want to believe that they will be right with Drew, question is how much does he want? He has to know he is on the backside of things and hopefully doesn't want to be overpaid. Wishful thinking I know.

Overpaid?? The Saints couldn't possibly pay him what he is worth based on the current market. Jimmy Garopolo has started 7 whole games in his NFL career and will make $27 million. Kirk Cousins woll get even more from whoever he signs with. I would try to structure his contract so he makes a cap reasonable amout while he os still playing and spread the rest out so he gets it even after he retires. Drew would probably go for that since it would spread his tax liability over several years.

Didn't we just pay him a mint with his last contract? His arm isn't what it used to be. Just sayin

They are all overpaid but you get what you can i guess so I'm not mad at him.

He is still one of the top 3 QB's in the league. Sign him for 2 years.

No brees cap was 30 mill and it was pushed back where only 19 counted against last season. Was even less the year before.
