those numbers were before tonight's games. Texas had Baylor, and TCU playing a ranked UTAH. so im gonna guess that TCU will actually widen that gap.
From a purely opinionated stand point... How good do you see TCU really being in terms of the other top 15 or so teams.
don't know. I haven't seen them play yet this year. from what I've read though, they have a pretty good defense. that'll usually at least keep you in a ball game.
TCU is the best team in the country right now. Too bad they won't have a chance to prove it. Plus 1 system, please.
I wonder if the Big 12 is regretting the decision to bow down to Ann Richards and include Baylor over TCU back in 1994. On the other hand, UT probably is very happy with that turn of events.
i'm ready to eat crow. seriously. i WANT to see a team like this get into the championship game BECAUSE these smaller schools coach extremely well. i think coaches at bigger schools get a lot more credit than what is sometimes warranted. you don't see TCU's staff making boneheaded decisions like some of the bigger schools. you don't see them mismanage the clock, etc. they lineup and play football. they look at their personnel and coach to their advantage instead of molding the players to what they want. few coaches can do this. saban and meyer immediately come to mind, but there are few to be found.
It no secret that Gary Patterson was one of two names I was promoting last season as Auburn was searching for a new HC. I also mentioned TCU DC Dick Bumpas as a possible candidate on this board when LSU was still considering Chavis for the DC position. The point I'm making is that TCU is a very well-coached team, and they have recruited well within a fertile recruiting geography. They are loaded along the LOS and they enough speed to challenge SEC defensive backfields .... in other words, I believe they are legit. .... and they have certainly earned the right to play for it all.
