OL is a major area that needs to improve big time. I don't see one OL that stands out above the next. For some reason, LSU hasn't made OL a top priority, but with Texas and Oklahoma coming this way in a couple of years, it's only going to get tougher to win on Saturdays. I like our DL talent, but the OL is one of the worst in the country. I'm also concerned about LBs because Clark and Baskerville will be gone, so we need someone to step up and take the lead and I'm not sure that player is on the roster right now.
I agree with others that you can't put a number of wins as a bar. Evaluation needs to start at the 3rd season...the 1st two years should be a grace period to allow the new coach to instill his system, staff, and culture. To me, I am more interested in evaluating along the lines of player development. Wins will come if we're developing 3, 4, and 5 star prospects into LSU football players. That will be a big improvement over our current state of getting top 5 recruiting classes but only an occasional player gets drafted in round 1 because our players are not developing into world class studs. Additionally, we need to start knocking Bama off of the pedestal they now occupy in the minds of sports writers and poll voters.
Exactly, in fact if they were to win it all this year I think he may retire. They won't so he will be back
I just want to see great effort in at least 11 games, schemes that allow the players to showcase their individual abilities and that our players understand their assignments well. The record will follow.
It will be a rebuild it will take years how many I do not know. Look at tenneessee after Lane. The defense is looking good The offensive line is weak I would like to see 10 wins next season ,
