What's Chavis' gameplan vs Brantley and what's a Brantley led offense look like?

Seems to be pretty much a formality that Tebow will not play Saturday night.

It's time to get those blitzes timed just right and actually get to the QB. We can easily put our DBs out on an island vs this mediocre receiving corps. The problem will be with the linebackers covering the backs catching passes out of the backfield and the tight end Hernandez. That will be their pass offense for the majority of the night.

This guy's got quite an arm but is inexperienced. Time to rattle his cage early and often and make him into a shrinking violet.

    What say you?

Does LSU have any QB sacks this season?

    5 that I know of.

I think they play a ton of man and play it deep. I don't look for many blitzes

Florida's team weapon, especially without Tebow, is speed. My guess is Chavis will continue his tendency to mix zone with man-man, but primarily use zone coverages to try to minimize big plays.

The exception to this may be some mid-game corner blitzes once the coaches figure out what the young QBs tendencies are. I.e. - does he favor specific receivers or does he favor a specific side of the field when throwing. If they can find a tendency, I would not be surprised to see the opposite corner blitz.

Maybe send Harry Coleman a bit more than we have in the same scenario.

Good question. I've been thinking more about the other side of the ball - LSU's offense against UF's defense.

still have to disguise the blitz and confuse the hell out of him along with an assist from the real 12th man. their receivers should be shut down, and if Tebow is on the sideline i think our whole offense needs to simplify, and play some smashmouth. I have confidence we can run the ball, its hard to believe we have struggled in that area this season. Linebackers are still going to be the key because of the dump offs to the backs in the passing game, and hernandez.

Do you blitz early, trying to rattle the inexperienced qb, risking the possible big play?

Or the exact opposite, and wait it out?

send em all game, just disguise it. Show blitz from one side, send the other and drop linemen back in zone coverage. There is no way, a first time starter should be able to come away with a victory at Death Valley at night, with what is riding on this game, and the entire nation watching.

I'd blitz him and see if they pick it up and how he reacts. I think ya gotta try it. Put some pressure on him and see if he can handle it. It would be counter our tendency of the early season, that may surprise them a bit.
