Obviously the last game was great, but I'm going to say the Florida game. It was so physical, those 4th-down calls that all succeeded, etc.

The best game I saw in person was the Bama game - we let Bama stay too close with the many mistakes that were made, but when push came to shove, we made the plays on offense and defense to win.

you have to exclude the :crystal: game, for obvious reasons.

so if we're dealing with regular season, you have to go with Va Tech.

There are very few times when you can definitively say you're the best, because someone can always come back and counter-argue, but I think 99.9999% of the people in the world would say LSU was the best college football team in the country, and possibly in the past 5-6 years on that Saturday.

They completed melted down the ACC Champion.

Va. Tech was awesome just because it showed how good the team could really be when everything was clicking, but I think I'm going to have to go with the Florida game.

It was an absolute epic. Tough, nasty game. One that we'll talk about for a long time.

Florida because it was the most epic game in the history of epic games and even to the outsider, it is considered one of the best college football games ever. Game like that are the definition of college football. pure heart

So many great ones, hard to pick. Alabama was just crazy, so many huge momentum swings. People forget how close that game was. Auburn and Florida were obviously tremendous as well. Kentucky/Arkansas, while losses, were great games, though obviously not my favorites since we lost. But yeah I'd go with Alabama.

Florida hands down. I wet myself like a little girl over the 4th down conversions, later to score. That was the day I realized if da tigers stayed reasonably healthy, hat being the hat the rest could all fall into place. This game also shower that games like VT were not to be taken for granted and we were not the invincible ones that game let us on to be, just a damn fine football team. :milesmic:

It was between Va. Tech and Fla., and Clair makes a good point for Tech. But, I just didn't get the impression Tech was near as good as their rating, esp. their QB play was poor that night. I Still like the LaFell block on the sideline as one of the top 20 plays of the season, not too often a wideout does something like that!

I'd have to go with Fla. They were a VERY good team, lead by a Heisman QB. I'd rather beat a very good team by 1 pt. than blow out a medium team. The excitement of the Fla. game was exquisite! The forth downs!!! It is a classic game!!!

My first impulse was to say VT, but hou is right. As fun as that game was, by the time it was over, I was thinking, VT's overrated; we can't be THAT good. Its got to be the UF game.

So many great ones this year, but for me, it's Florida without question. Once the PA gave the score in the USC game the crowd went BERZERK. Then all of the 4th down calls, and let's not forget that a very strong UF team came in and brought their "A" game.

One word describes that come-from-behind win for me: EPIC!

After LSU won that game, a NC seemed like a real possibility to me.

    Great thread btw!

I agree. Probly one of the top 3 moments in the history of Tiger Stadium. My ears actually hurt, unbelievable. Mike's first trip around the field before the game was also nice.
