Saban wanted him to play defensive end. He'd be making alot more money as a Pro Bowl DE right now. He's a solid RB but not ever gonna be one of the best in the league.

Brandon stayed with Auburn because he felt Auburn stuck with him when he went Juco. CTT made it clear to Jacobs what he was walking into, and he wasn't taking playing time from Brown or Caddy. Auburn tried to get him to play at LB during bowl practice, that didn't work, so he transferred to SIU to be a RB.

No one would have been critical if he hadn't kept his pledge to AU, many thought it strange that he still came.

I think a lot of high school kids can't see the forest for the trees. All they want is the glory right now not what's best for their career long term. I know there are some that do get missed but there are a lot that commit career suicide by not being flexible.

Joe Barksdale will probably make a ton of money by playing RT and he will get playing time early instead of riding the pine for the next 2 years waiting on a D-line spot.

If Reggie Bush had been a CB he would probably be the next Dion Sanders and a hall of famer. He will still make millions but will never sniff the HOF.

He's freaking 6'4" 260, and always runs too high. He *is* a D-End.

He was and still is a very good running back. Unfortunately for him, he was behind the 2nd and 5th picks in the draft respectively. It isn't too often that a NFL quality running back will end up 3rd on the depth chart but there was no way he was a better back than Ronnie and Carnell.

We asked if he'd rather get on the field as a DE or TE or continue to be 3rd string, and he said he knew he was a running back and wanted to play that position. Turned out he was right in the fact that he was an NFL quality running back and it was probably a decent decision to go somewhere he could prove his talent as a running back.

yeah well... imagine him very close to his current size, playing against highschool kids.

Assumption's playbook was 47.5% Toby to the right, and 47.5% Toby to the left. About 5% was our passing game and everything else.:thumb:
