I sat in a box behind the UNC sideline, so I could not see everyone. Here is what I did see. LSU sections didn't seem to have any UNC fans in them; some UNC sections had LSU fans in them; Approximate percentages 55% LSU, 45% UNC. Lots more LSU fans hanging around before the game (though I got there late in the day, so I am not the best judge of this.) Upper deck was about 2/3ds full. Some fans from both sides (more UNC than LSU) started leaving at the end of the 3d qtr. Hope this helps. GEAUX TIGERS
I sat next to the Band from the lower endzone I would say 60/40 LSU lots of very nice Tar Heels LSU fans drunk - students mostly I sat around 80% drunk LSU students - not good seats
Before the game, nearly 80/20 LSU. Even split at the start of the game, then a couple thousand Carolina fans cleared out early which tilted things our way. I'd say it ended up being about 60/40 due to a few Tar Heel fans giving up and leaving. Small crowd though, 68k announced, but by the end I'd say there were only 45,000 or so in the building.
Not sure about after the stands started clearing, and I never saw exact numbers to say, but gameday made reference to the bigger number of UNC fans then LSU fans.
i sat on the UNC side up top in section 340 and there really wasn't much blue on the LSU side and a decent amount of purple and gold on the UNC side. I know in the section I was in there were a bunch of LSU fans.
I sat on the LSU side, and there were a few UNC fans there...but not many. Looking across, I could see quite a few P&G fans on the UNC side. If I had to make a safe guess, I'd say 55-45. I don't believe it was all that big of a difference. I know before the game outside and in the fan zone, it was probably 75-25 LSU fans. But that was before the game.
