We still have a good shot at him, but it doesn't look like he's at the top of our board.

It's a guess at this point, but I think Michael is on top of our board considering we already have Ford because Michael just seems to compliment Ford a little better, where as Pratt is a more similar RB to Ford.

I can understand that, how are we doing in the LB recruiting, that seems like our most pressing need in this class.

Mingo, Minter and even Tahj Jones may be Tigers within the next 30 days.

We may take only 3 (I project 4).

Word is Theriot will ultimately end up as FB. So that's one less LB on the team.

With our current lack of LB depth this is hard to believe unless Theriot looked terrible at the position once he arrived here.

If they were rated virtually even I could see this logic as a tiebreaker of sorts, but I would always take the best back available otherwise. RB's get hurt easily and it doesn't hurt to have identical styles when your 1st string guy goes down. Now if you recruited a guy who can't catch out of the backfield, that is different, because someone must be able to catch consistently with our offense.

Rivals has them only separated by like 5 spots (with Pratt ahead of Michael currently), and I imagine our coaches don't have the separated by much either (but I believe with Michael out front).

Michael is a little more versatile than Pratt, regardless of Ford.

Also, our coaches should feel very good about our chances with Pratt, and yet they've been recruiting Michael very hard (enough to make him decommit from A&M), which is why I believe he's the #1 prospect on the board.

If Pratt & Michael were tied, then the coaches would've focused on Pratt who really likes LSU & is not committed elsewhere.
