Is there any chance Ford is a five star per rivals. Islstl didn't mention him in the initial post of potential five stars.

Well i found my answer in another thread. Seems to be unlikely that ford becomes a five star.

Guys: He is what he is.

I don't get the obsession with stars. Rivals, as has been noted here is biased in numerous ways, and as a commercial service is likely less inclined to rank committed players higher. Ford is a very good player, so I for one am just glad for his commitment. So let's not obsess over number of stars. At LSU, we win real NCs, not recruiting NCs like they do at Bama!

I agree but perception is everything to these guys. If we pull in a great recruiting class (per rivals) and have good on field results, it helps the prestige of our program, we get on TV more, get more recruits, etc.

Sonny thinks Minter, Mingo and Davenport may all commit at the spring game or shortly thereafter. He also believes Tahj Jones is not far behind.

Michael appears the most likely commit at RB. Might replace Pratt.

Tahj is a Tiger if he gets his grades together. He'll have had to show improvement in the classroom for the coaches to accept the commitment.

:thumb: I kept telling you Miachel was going to be the guy.

Well you know I still believe we take 3 at RB, with Pratt being that third if we get Michael.

IMO, the 3 are to similar. If we take 3 it would be some other combination so that we could get different styles.

With Ridley working almost exclusively at RB now, I just don't see us taking 3 RBs.

Take Walters off the list of possibles. He doesn't mention LSU in his top 5.

Make room for someone like Martinez or another Louisiana kid (i.e., Faulk).
