We are rotating 4 players(White, Green, Warren, Ludwig) right now. Add O'Bryant and Hamilton to the mix and I think 1-2 player are going to be left out. Can we give significant minutes to six post players?

I don't follow LSU basketball so I don't even know what kind of offense/defense they run. I'm assuming they run some type of motion offense and by "post" players you're meaning two forwards and a center?

Teams have used up to 10 man rotations though in my opinion 7, maybe even 8 quality players in a rotation is ideal. So to answer your question I'd say it's not impossible but doubtful.

I've read we're lacking shooting guards. If that's true, I wonder why we'd be having such a backlog at one position and lacking in the other. Is Trent having difficulty landing guards?

    I'm counting PFs and Cs.

    PG
    Stringer
    Bass

    SG
    Turner
    Dotson
    Isaac

    SF
    Derenbecker
    Courtney

    PF
    Warren
    Ludwig
    O'Bryant
    Green

    C
    White
    Hamilton

I wouldn't say we are having difficulty landing guards. It's just that nobody has stepped up and I don't think we can have a six man rotation down low.

I agree. I wasn't sure how you were breaking it down with "post" players.

One reason I prefer a 7 man rotation is that players need to "play" to get in a rhythm. Also important for continuity in chemistry imo. If your best 7 can't win it for you...

My knowledge on college basketball is minimal though. My experience is with the HS & middle school level and even that is limited. I had terrible coaching as a player and actually learned a lot more after I graduated from guys I coached with and HS coaches I visit with than when I played.

My Sr. year no one wanted to coach and they pulled an Industrial Arts teacher. Nice guy but first 1/2 of the season we had two plays: 1/ Thumb up meant speed up and 2/ Thumb down- slow it down...true story.

Then someone must've shared the 2-1-2 defense with him and he tried but when he'd draw it up the team, in unisom (not me, really- I didn't) would nod their heads in agreement and say, "Ah hahh, that's good." He start throwing F bombs. I was the only white boy on the team though, made some life-long friends.

It's hard to say. I think a lot will depend on matchups. I would assume Ludwig and Green will lose the most minutes if White, Hamilton, O'Bryant, and Warren play to potential. Eddie hustles but just doesn't seem to have "it." Green is not as strong on defense. Also Courtney is in there somewhere.
    Or maybe they all play.

I would have to say Ludwig and Green to answer my own question.

If Stringer is gonna truly be a PG...CTJ needs to put an end to those ridiculous shots he takes. It is seriously painful to watch.

Thanks. I've seen him described as a combo guard so I wasn't sure. I like the idea of having a bigger PG.
