This is what I am thinking if I am Russell Shepard... Gee, I made a great choice. Our defense is playing well, and I can bring a spark to this offense. We are clsoe to being a great team. The upperclassman don't have my talent. If I can pick up this offense quickly and acclimate to the speed of the college game I can be part of something special. I need to work my butt off so I can make it happen this year. If not I have three more years. I have to put in the work.
If anyone here cannot admit that this offense in in SHAMBLES, you are certainly in a state of denial. Better yet, I think SHACKLES may be a better term. There is no way in the world any team should hold us to 3 points. Talent-wise we have no peers, or so I've been told. Why does this talent ride the bench? Take a look at Trent Richardson, a freshman at Bama, as good as any back in the nation. You can bet your azz he is playing! If he was here I bet we would hardly have seen him. All we would see was Scott up the middle for two. Shepard has tremendous potential but he cannot get better unless he PLAYS!!! Randle is fantastic, but he has to PLAY!!! Can't our coaching staff understand that 3 points is not enough??? Also, if our coach promised him that he would get x number of touches in a game, then he needs to get them. If not, this makes our coach a liar. Don't promise a kid the world just to sign him, then turn around and screw him. Les, you are better than that. PLAY THESE KIDS!!! That is why they came here!!!
