What kind of game will the honey badger need to win the heisman? Will not happen period. I would say he has less than a 10% chance of winning it next year as well. The Heisman has way to many voters that are always going to vote for Offensive players (QB& RB) not for the overall best player . I hope I am wrong !!!! If he continues to play at the level he has so far and stay out of trouble he will probably be a finalist but not a winner. AGAIN I hope I am wrong but history has shown this trend.:geauxtige

Playing defense at his level, returning kicks, and scoring touchdowns will not win him the heisman. Not playing offense is detrimental to the heisman hopes of any player, no matter how good they are.

    I predict:

TM7 will play both ways next year.

Heisman candidates generally need a "set up" year for their candidacy. They usually don't go from unknown in September to winning the Heisman in December. Cam was a rare exception, and he was the QB of the National Champs while putting up amazing numbers. A running back could do it as well, but not a CB. TM7's season has put him on the watch list for next year.

Defensive players don't stand a chance. Charles Woodson was the exception, and he beat out Peyton Manning by a narrow margin. I can still hear the volnation's incessant whining.

2 pick 6's, three forced fumbles, two of those recovered for touchdowns, two punt return touchdowns, and 4 passing touchdowns when JJ, JL, and ZM all slip on the field and twist their ankles in pregame warm ups. I think that would get him some consideration.

Joe Tessitore just said on Finebaum that Tyrann is polling 8th right now. He said if not for the suspension, Tyrann would be in New York for the Heisman ceremony. That would have been a very nice bump into next year's Heisman talk.

Lesson to the young. Little mistakes can have big consequences. The good news is that Tyrann seems to have learned from his mistake.
