What kind of defense do you think Les will install for this week? Will it be similar to the "no pressure" defense they played against West Virginia?

Great question. I think it will be the TM7 blitz from the corner package. I expect us to apply pressure and go for the INT's. I hope we do this in the first half, build a lead, and then run smash mouth for TOP in the second half.

They will have watched what Bama did to this kid and I am thinking lots of #7 and #13

pressure with lots of nickel and dime

I agree. I believe we will blitz more than we did in the wvu game. Butcha never know.

Arkansas can not run the ball aginst lsu. Arkansas couldn't run the ball on any sec team they played this year. This will allow lsu to play the pass almost exclusively. The honeybadger along with big Sam , mingo, brockers and the rest of the boys will be able to pin their ears back and try to break the arky qb in half. I don't think he finishes the game.

I believe it's going to as aggressive as we showed against Bama.

Not quite all out blitzing, but it won't be anywhere close to the conservative nature of our defense we had on display vs WVU.

Play 10 straight up and TM7 gets free reign.

I'd have to believe we will see a pretty aggressive d, although we probably won't start that way. If we see the wvu defensive game plan I may head over to the coaches box and smack someone upside the head.

Not at all. Those two offenses aren't very similar. Arky does have a strong passing game, but it's more pro style than WVU. Arky tries to run the ball. WVU doesn't give it a second though. WVU is all quick hitters, which doesn't allow pressure time to arrive. That's why we played that style defense, to keep the play in front of us. Blitzing doesn't typically work against WVU. It does, however, work against Arky. Check how many times Wilson has been sacked this year. It's about 15. I would hope it's sitting at 20 by Friday evening.

    I hope you're right.

AR's WR's are much more dangerous in open field than are WVU's. I'd just as soon they not get the ball at all, including short under passes.
