Do you just remember this stuff off the top of your head? I have to think hard about who I saw last year, much less 8 years ago. Also, when y'all start quoting specific plays from long ago games, it blows my mind. I guess I just don't see the detail like so many of y'all do. I don't focus nearly that hard I guess.
It's starting to dissipate. I remember every game I've ever been to, that's for sure and I remember plays here and there. The only one I remember from MTSU was a long pass from Perriloux to Toliver. The game I went to that really sticks out in my mind was 2006 Ole Miss @ LSU. Man I was mad as hell. It was the purple vans shoes. And then my then girlfriend, who is now my wife, spilled beer all over them and LSU started on the comeback and eventually won.
One of my favorite memories was 1979 USC. My date and I are standing in line (in the mob) at the student gate waiting on it to open. As the gate is about to open, the crowd surged forward. She told me to look down. The crowd was so compressed, her feet weren't touching the ground. After that game, everyone stayed and gave the team a standing ovation for quite a bit. We all knew that they had left it all on the field. Specific plays from back then...not a chance.
The last daytime game I went to before Saturday was Georgia in 2003. Matt Mauck to Skyler Green pass was the game winner. Bama game in 1974 was daytime. LSU lost 21-0. Bama QB was Terry Davis from Bogalusa Went to 1964 daytime Tennessee game with my Dad. Was a 3-3 tie
Bogalusa is my hometown. I knew Terry casually, my older sister knew him well. Man, Bogalusa people were pissed when he chose Bama.
Yesterday they were saying "leg injury" instead of knee injury, which is good. Someone said that it might be a thigh injury.
