Tonight I saw Malzahn and his crew fool LSU on virtually every play. I saw interesting alignments, misdirection, throwback plays and great tackling by Aubie. So, my question is...what is the deal with Cam? LSU had NONE of that. When most of us non-coaches out here know exactly what play is coming just based on alignment and tendency. The entire sideline, defense, and stadium also knows. Cam has no imaginitivenes at all and hamstrings his QB constantly. The same is true of Chavis on the defensive side. We seem to need some young blood on the coaching staff. The way football is played today is not what it used to be when I was watching in the 1970's and even 80's. THese guys have not kept up with trends.
And a very well paid one. Don't hold your breath. Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey doesn't have any openings.
To To answer this all you have to do is looks at miles during the game (he had the play card in his hand). This had the fingerprints if a miles called game. Freaking looked like the NC game with the gumps. Painfully
I seem to recall Cam speaking more about the 3rd string QB who transferred to Rutgers more than Jennings or Harris but Miles wants his style of QB, you know, the Jordan Jefferson type. Zach Mettenberger fell into our lap and Cam was able to run a pro style offense, cut up defenses and run the ball.
Foolishness, blasphemy. How dare you question the greatness of the outstanding genius of CaMiles? I guess you just didn't know.
I agree with this. Miles wanted his JJ style of QB and he got em. He's made his bed and now has to lay in it. Don't feel sorry for him at all, especially after he ran off Rettig/Rivers because they couldn't "Run fast Enough." Would've liked to have seen Rettig stick around and develop as the pure drop back "Passing" QB. Sad to see it's back to the days of Jefferson like QB play and LSU fans will have zero tolerance for that.........
