    Think about it

With all the bad vibes in BR for both of these guys how would BR handle success for the 2 guys that many consider to be major problems.

I don't think even major success will turn the many that have dumped both of these guys. I only wish JJ and CLM the very best and I will be in Atlanta cheering both of them and the rest of the Tigers to victory.

I'm very far away from BR, so forgive what might be a silly question...

But is BR really that down on JJ?

Coaches get paid millions to take the heat. But JJ's year wasn't THAT bad, was it?

Minus the number of sacks taken, No it wasn't especially for a redshirt sophomore.

Very similar stats to Flynn in 2007 and JJ put us in position to win games at the end.

    ???

Only redshirt I know of was the one I wore yesterday pressure-washing my house

But I digress - JJ played as a true freshman in '08 and 'sophomore in 09 (not as RS Freshman). He was thrown into action before his time, just like Jarrett Lee.

There would still be the hat. How can we live with a guy who wears a Hoss hat like that?

When you win championships a lot of things are forgiven. I suppose you have people who will always hate Miles and won't rest until he leaves. As for JJ, after the developments of this week, I would think an SEC championship would have BR worshiping him after seeing how bare the QB cupboard is.

    I agee about JJ

He is such a good guy and he was thrown in and nothing could stop it from happening. People that watched him yesterday is that he is coming on. Give him a running game and some play action and I am sure he will come through. Sunshine

I know I am a homer but I do live in BR. CLM - they will never let it go. We win this year and it's all the talent and Gonzales. They have already started pumping Gonzales as the reason things might be better this year.

JJ seems to be embracing the challenge and working very hard to get better. That's all I can ask from him as a Tiger fan, regardless of how things turn out on the field.

When you're the guy at the top you earn the right to take credit during the good times, as well as take the slings and arrows during the bad. The Saban super-fans need to let 2007 go. That's Les' team and Les' championship. By the same token I think he's also been too quick to gamble with QBs without hedging his bets, and we'll continue to deal with that problem in the future.

A lot of the intensity on this team left when Pelini went to Nebraska. BG may be the missing piece to bring that fire back. If that turns out to be the case, then Les deserves a tremendous amount of credit for recognizing that need (or want :D) and being able to fill it. That's what a good CEO, or any good decision-maker, does. And if others refuse to recognize that, then it's their shortcoming, not Miles'. After all, who's out there saying Sean Payton had nothing to do with the Saints winning the SB, that the credit should go to Greg Williams' D?
