alright guys I was just thinking the other day that if Periloux had not been such a dumbass and stayed at LSU would he have been successful? i belive so. i think that LSu would have won alot more of those tight games and alot of the blowouts ,where we practically were raining pick sixes ie: Florida Georgie 2008, could be turned into compettitive games. however we are better off next since our other QB's got experience but we have less hype i believe in 08 LSU loses 0-5 games in the last two years if periloux is there but we are now better off because of his departure. anyone else agree?

we would have been better and worse if RP were here.

we probably beat Bama and Arky, possibly Georgia in '08.

and the Co-DCs jobs would have probably been saved.

so the '09 seasons may have shaped up completely different.
maybe we keep the offense rolling in the 4th qtr vs Bama.
maybe Florida runs roughshod over a sh!tty D in Baton Rouge.
Who the hell knows what McCluster would have done against Mallory and Peveto.

he was an undeniable talent.. and we would have likely only had 1 loss in 2009 provided chavis was still here. i think we all learned a valuable lesson from him.

This.. I made the comment before that by not having RP we were able to figure out much bigger issues with the team and coaching staff. Solving these insufficiences will allow us to be much better in the long run. A 2 yr slip which allows us to make solid changes that could pay off with a 5+ yr dividend should prove to be worth the loss.

We would've likely seen more discipline problems pop up on the team, too. Perrilloux wasn't, and isn't, capable of completely shaping up. He would've continued getting into small-time trouble, getting away with it, and in the process formed a little nucleus of other trouble-makers. Slight improvement in the short term, but setting the stage for deeper long-term problems.

I think it's "If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle."

I think we get what you're saying though.
