The 57 state thing was a slip up. It seems pretty obvious he was talking about the lower 48, because he said excluding Alaska and Hawaii. He also said we have 1 more to go. It seems 57 slipped out instead of 47. The junk about 57 Muslim countries is Glen Beck black helicopter nonsense.
i dont care if obama said there are 70 states. it was a mistake, a misstatement. we all make them constantly. i say stuff i cant possibly believe anyone would ever say. then i correct myself and think "what am i thinking, man i am stupid". everyone says things they know are wrong all the time, they just make errors and dont say what they mean to. it is nothing.
I'm seriously wondering if he ever corrected himself. As you said yourself, you say something wrong, you catch youself, correct it and move on. If I knew you or your voice, I could imagine you saying this...."we've been to 57 states so far, and we've got two more to go -- 47 states, excuse me." Obama didn't even do that. More recently, he was making a statement about either the Marine Corps or the Corps of Engineers...some Corps, don't remember which, but I heard the sound bite. Twice, he pronounced the word "corps" like "corpse." No self-correct; no jabs from the MSM, either. Now earlier, Red posted a list of 20 or so "mis-speaks" from the 8 years of Bush presidency. Really not bad when you consider how much that comes from any president's mouth is considered quotable. I've just mentioned two from Obama. There have been others. How many "mis-speaks" will he get a pass on before the MSM starts taking jabs?
have you ever watched pardon the interruption? yunno how the dude comes on at the end and corrects all the errors and misstatements they make? and these guys are career sportwriters and they are fudging facts and names and such constantly. that what it is like being a human being. we make mistakes. some are very stupid and obvious mistakes and are very very forgivable. again, let me ask, do you think obama doesnt know how many states there are?
So Tony Reali should have about 15 seconds after every Obama speech to do his corrections? I like it!
The issue is not that he doesn't know how many states there are. The issue is that he cited the number of muslim states, ie, a freudian-like slip. We all know he's a muslim at heart.
