What a fucking drag you guys are you would only see the dark cloud never the silver lining around it. You dont deserve a great coach and the football team he will develop but you will get it anyway. I am going to be part of it and back this guy who has more spirit and passion than you negative guys will ever have.

i'm gonna back the guy too because it's LSU i don't know how to walk away and wouldn't do that even if i could.

i was in the stadium for the end of Arnsparger, all the way through this year. i ain't bailing now.

and i hope like hell O proves me dead wrong and wins multiple titles.
i'm not confident that's going to happen, but i damn sure will be rooting for it.

all i have to go on is past results.
and this guys resume is absolutely abysmal.

when you have an abysmal resume, you've got to do something extra special to erase it.

and so far it's been better than i predicted, but far from enough to wash away the bad taste i get from him.

his past is checkered and shady. and really not impressive at all to have been handed the keys to this program.

sometimes having no (or limited) history, like Herman, is better than having a historically bad past.

    i wanted Jimbo.
checked literally every box as far as what LSU was looking for in a coach.

I wanted Jimbo too but I started becoming skeptical about Herman when he started losing to second rate teams. After Jimbo and Herman I would have been pissed if they gave the job to anyone else but Oeaux, barring Divine Intervention and Saban or Meyer was forced to come to Purgatory on the Bayou.

Are you talking about Miles? Oh wait, you're talking about Fisher.

I try to see things from both sides. Fisher is no slam dunk and with the money it would have taken to get him here we might not be able to spend as freely on assistants and we'd be married to the guy for better or worse for some time. He's also lost at least 3 games the past 2 years and fallen behind Clemson as THE team in the ACC.

But he brings positives as well. So does Eaux, of checkered past, who got shut out vs Bama and lost a game to UF he shouldn't have (in disappointing fashion).

Eaux set records with a TE coach and Cameron's playbook. In the UF game he marched down the field and handled the clock masterfully and was one misexecuted play from victory. He was a breath of fresh air at press conferences and handled the politics of the position with precision. He turned around a dejected program in one week and made games fun again. His performance against Bama is better than any other of their opponents, thanks primarily to a genius coordinator that he allowed to succeed.

Again, to act like a case can't be made for Orgeron is childish. Fisher wasn't to be had without a hefty price tag and the same could be said about Herman. Neither are sure things, and other candidates are less so. I love that we went in the direction of seasoned vs fresh. I love that we bought down rather than up. I love that BDP was axed almost immediately, that we are spending money to keep Aranda, and that we are looking to spend money on OC. I am thrilled that our recruiting class isn't expected to fall apart and we have a guy who is regarded as a master in that field running the show.

It could all go south, but that was the possibility with Herman, Fisher, et al. Hell, I'm even hopeful that everyone is wrong about Alleva, which puts me in a very small minority. I bitched about some of Saban's faults while here, I was a nega most of the time while Miles was here and I will be again if Eaux underwhelms, but the decision has been made and it isn't without merit. I'm going to wait to bitch until it's time. I'm no blind loyalist but I'm ready to suspend disbelief and hope again.

sure a case can be made for O.
not one strong enough to justify not even interviewing anyone else on the planet.

if Alleva went out and did his job. Conducted an actual search complete with multiple face to face interviews of potential candidates, and then say "you know what, O is the best guy out there". I probably wouldn't be happy, but I could at least stomach it.

but that's not what he did according to all reports including his own comments.

damn near as many wins in just the last 2 years as O has in 5.
