at the time of the move, it looked like a gauntlet. but by the time those games got here those teams were finished. both had terrible defenses. A&M shockingly collapsed down the stretch this year just like they shockingly collapse down the stretch every year. Ole Miss season was a disaster.
They were disasters before we played them. Ole Miss already had 3 losses when we played them. Texas A&M had lost 3 SEC games in a row when we played them with 2 of those loses to the cellar dwellers in the SECW. Both were horseshit this year. But we did what we were supposed to do to them.
And that last statement is what is separating Eaux from Miles in this small sample space. Let's be honest, we don't have the hosses up front to go against the Bama defense (nor the position coach). But we fought like hell and gave them all they could handle. Florida was a terrible loss and Ensminger isn't going to be here anymore to watch his qb hand it off with 9 men in the box and single coverage on two wides at the 5 yard line with the potential to put the game out of reach. So there is that. Good riddance to him for just that one singular play.
ok, so Tom Herman wanted to talk to Texas before signing the deal we had and Alleva told him to fuck off and hired from within. If Aranda tells Alleva he wants to hear from his buddy at Texas before signing this what's Alleva going to do?
I've been wondering the same thing. Alleva already proved he doesn't have the balls to get in a bidding war with the mighty UT.
