Been thinking about it for almost two weeks as I prepare to make the trip down from Birmingham to join over a hundred thousand of my closest, purple blooded brothers and sisters in Baton Rouge ... What do I want to see on Saturday Night? I want to witness a sea of purple and gold fans foaming at the mouth for the opponent and making so much noise the entire South shakes (tune up the Richter scales) ... I want to feel the familiar surge of adrenaline and the goose bumps that always result from that familiar sound ... hold that Tiger. I want to scream at the top of my lungs as the team takes the field behind a parade of flags ... I want to hear the roar as the Defense pounds that Crimson into the Tiger turf and makes them realize that to this point they've been good but they haven't played anyone like this... I want to watch 11, 27, 42 and 33 punish tacklers and rack up the miles ... I want to see number 8 put it in the air and into receiver's hands while they put the last 8 weeks of criticism behind them for good ... I want to see this team put it all on the field and play their asses off to the finish. Nothing left on the sideline, nothing left in the tank. And if Bama can beat all that on a Saturday night in the single toughest place to play in College Football then they deserve the crown. But see ... I also want to watch another opponent's dream meet an untimely death on Saturday night ... Geaux Tigers!!
Redemption Mother F'ers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to see the LSU defense knock the snot out of anything wearing crimson. McCarron Beware! Hope Bama staff brought some extra packs of smelling salts! Would like to see the offense sustain some drives and convert on 3rd down.
Les needs a wheel barrow full of it parked right next to him, perhaps with a good chardonay stashed in the cooler
FOCUS and a FTW attitude derived from the fact that we have nothing to lose...but everything to gain. Win this game and the rest and who knows? I know one thing, we're in the unique position of actually cheering for USC. Hopefully while we're beating GumpU, they're beating Oregon. And hopefully they can double down and take care of Notre Dame in a few weeks as well. So...Geaux Trojans! Good enough for me, as I don't see K-State losing to anyone left on their schedule.
