Why did you have to go all the way back to 2011 to make a point? Oh that's right we haven't beat them since then. I got you

If that's the case then we should hire Spurrier or Bobby Bowden they have a pretty good past.

Point I was making is our program has slipped since 2011 while Ole Miss program has got better since then IMO.

Don't you understand by now that according to many here we need to just fire Aranda because defense is the problem.

Dude no one is saying fire Aranda so drop the bullshit. The defense isn't dominant like we all thought. The defense is not the reason we have lost games so far this season but the defense just from my eyes has been a letdown.

I never expected anything from the offense to start with so I can't be letdown by ineptness

That's how I feel. I don't want the characters of Briles and Petrino. Those guys are POS's and there is something to be said about that. Especially what Briles did and Petri no is just an @sshole, jerk of a man.
I really don't understand why anybody would want Kiffin as HC. Sure he is a good OC , but he has been a pathetic HC at 2 huge programs and was left on the runway after a game. Plus I can't figure out if he is a prick or douchebag.

He will jump at an HC job so he won't be berated publicly by Saban during a cupcake game.

Herman would be my first choice.

It seems to me that with coaching, with the exception of savants like Saban and Belichik, one's window of opportunity, when your brand of football is edgy and relevant, is about 8-10 years. Les was once known as the Mad Hatter and Lesticles for his edgy brand of "go for it" football and it worked well for him for a long time and LSU has been the benefactor of it to the tune of a National Championship, 2 SEC Championships and consistently playing in relevant bowl games and do so well, with the exception of a few years. I didn't even mention that he's assembled top 5 recruiting classes just about every year he's been in BR. All of that said, his time has come and gone. It is time for new blood who understands the new way. Of course we would all like to snatch up the next Saban and the good money would be on Tom Herman as that guy right now, at least imo. If we are going to go coach hunting, which I sure wish we would, I say we set our sights on Herman or bust. Give him carte blanche control and assurance of funding for whatever in the hell he wants. Make this one a no-brainer for him.

Of course, Ole Miss should be looking at probation at any time now. Freeze wouldn't be the answer.

Briles isn't the answer, either--though I could see us getting him perhaps because he won't be able to fetch the high dollars that Herman will. I knew, just KNEW, that something was rotten in Waco. I am accustomed now to having a man of class to coach LSU, and I would have to hold my nose with Briles (not unlike a Petrino, which would be worse.)

Tom Herman should be the number one target, and while we're dreaming, perhaps we could persuade David Shaw to move from Palo Alto...to Baton Rouge.

Surprised I don't see love for Orgeron in this thread. Shitcan Les now, let Coach O be interim with the option to earn HC job. That way, we can TRY to keep the few assistants that might be worth their paycheck.
